Paul Blyer

Paul Blyer, 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Paul was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, United States Marine Corps veteran, and a man whose kindness, integrity, and love for his family touched everyone who knew him. Born and raised in Chelsea, Massachusetts, Paul grew up with four brothers and one sister in a close-knit family that shaped the values he carried throughout his life. At just 17 years old, he proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served his country during the Korean War. He remained deeply proud of his military service throughout his life and was honored each time someone thanked him for serving our nation. The greatest love of Paul's life was his wife, Phyllis. Together they built a wonderful life centered on family, raising four children: Arthur, David, Bruce, and Diana. Paul was a loving father who always put his family first and welcomed everyone into his home with warmth and generosity. He shared a special bond with his daughters-in-law, including his beloved daughter-in-law, Jayne, who held a special place in his heart. Nothing brought Paul more joy than spending time with his grandchildren. He loved talking about them, celebrating their accomplishments, and creating memories that will be cherished for generations. Paul will be remembered for his warm smile, his stories, his sense of humor, and his unwavering love for his family. He lived a life defined by honor, humility, and compassion, leaving behind a legacy of service, strength, and unconditional love. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Phyllis. His family finds comfort in knowing they are together once again. Paul is survived by his children, grandchildren, extended family, and many friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him. His family feels incredibly fortunate to have shared so many years with him. Though he will be deeply missed, his values, love, and example will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
