Marcia Keisler

Marcia Keisler, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend, passed away on September 16, 2023, at the age of 89 in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was born on May 11, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Jeanette and Sol Carlin. Marcia was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. She will be remembered as a true friend and confidant, always there for those in need. Marcia had a thirst for knowledge and current events, with an acute memory of the past. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed spending time delving into various subjects. In her early years, Marcia attended Franklin K. Lane High School before pursuing higher education at Brooklyn College and Columbia University. After getting married, she worked for Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. Later, she served as a clerk and Loan Officer at a bank until her retirement. However, retirement didn't keep her idle for long, as she went back to work in Florida for ACC, the Foster Parents Association, and another senior organization. Her outstanding service and volunteerism were recognized by former President Obama, who awarded her for her contributions. Marcia had a deep connection to her faith and was a service goer at Temple Beth Am and occasionally Chabad of Palm Beach County. Her spirituality brought her comfort and strength throughout her life. Outside of her professional and religious pursuits, Marcia had a passion for computer research, the theater, reading, and hand sewing. She found joy in exploring new topics, attending performances, and creating beautiful handmade items. Marcia is survived by her loving son, Scott Keisler, her first cousin was Judy Green, and her first cousins Sandy Shea, and Gale Nebenzahl someone named Myrna Weinman, Doug Keisler, and Edward Koster. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Keisler, and her parents Jeanette and Sol Carlin as well as her in laws Minnie and Sam Keisler. In honor of Marcia's memory, contributions can be made to Tanger Hillel at Brooklyn College, Grace Dodge Society at Columbia University, Hadassah, or Jerusalem Home for Orphans. Additionally, assistance for the family's final expenses can be provided through a crowd-funding campaign for Scott. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Sinai Memorial Chapels in Delray Beach, Florida. Marcia Keisler will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
