Mike (Myer) Swartz, 89, of Lake Worth, FL passed on Saturday, February 27, 2021 after a brief but difficult illness as he battled the Covid-19 virus. He is survived by his beloved Wife, Susan (Richards) of 31 years, Mike’s loving children Jeff Swartz (Pam) and Wayne Swartz (Nancy), his adoring Grandchildren, Doug Swartz (Emma), Brian Swartz (Crystal), Jared Swartz, Jaime Swartz and Predeceased Daniel Swartz, his Great Grandchildren, Sloane Swartz and Predeceased Bodie Swartz. Susan’s Loving Children, Dean Goldberg (Kate), Tony Goldberg, Laura Brown and Predeceased Eric Goldberg and Grandchildren Lexi and Haley Brown, Jordan and Brandan Goldberg, Jolie and Hope Goldberg. Mike was born on August 29, 1931 to Dora (Rosenthal) Swartz and Manny Swartz. He grew up in Dorchester where he attended English High School. He was a member of The Owls Club as well as an avid athlete, playing baseball, football and basketball. In fact, after serving in the US Air Force during the Korean War he was offered a try out for Boston's National League MLB baseball team, The Boston Braves. Mike had a very successful business career at Cambridge Lee Industries, starting as a salesman in copper tubing and plumbing supplies, rising up over the years to hold a number of nationally prominent executive positions with the company. Services will be at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida on March 16, 2021 beginning at 12:50 PM. Because of the danger of Covid all are asked to wear masks. Mike was an extraordinary personality, Father, Son, Brother and Friend. He will be truly missed and never forgotten.
