Amy Kirle Lezberg

May 25, 1936 - November 29, 2017

Amy Lezberg, age 81, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2017 at the Good Samaritan hospice unit in Palm Beach, Florida. The daughter of Ben and Rose Kirle of Boston, Amy is survived by Arnold, her loving husband of 62 years, her daughters Rosalyn and Audrey, her sons-in law Brian and Steve, her granddaughter Eliana, her sister Sandy, brothers- and sister-in-law Dick, Erwin and Barbara, and nine nieces. In addition to being a caring wife, mother and grandmother, Amy had a rich professional life. After receiving her doctorate from Boston University, she was a college professor of liberal arts, the first female dean of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, and a director of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Upon retiring to Lake Worth, Florida, she continued working as an international consultant in the field of accreditation and gave local talks about 20th century Jewish entertainers for the JCC, Hadassah and other groups. Amy loved to explore different cultures, and visited over 100 countries during her lifetime. She was a gracious hostess, an engaging conversationalist, and an active member of the Bellagio community. Her family and friends will miss her. A funeral will be held at the Rubin Memorial Chapel, 7340 W Boynton Beach Blvd, Boynton Beach, FL on December 4, 2017 at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth. Memorial donations may be made to The Pap Corps (papcorps.org) or other cancer research organizations.
