EDITH GINIGER, 89 Edith Giniger, affectionately known as Edie, passed away on May 22, 2024, at the age of 89 of natural causes. She was born on July 24, 1934, in the Bronx and most recently resided in Boca Raton, FL. Edith was an extraordinary individual whose loving nature and vibrant personality left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Edith had many passions in life, but her favorite pastime was playing casino slot machines. She loved the excitement and thrill that came with each spin. In addition to her love for gambling, Edith was a successful businesswoman. She owned three private post-secondary schools and served as the leader of the Private Career School Association of NJ. Her dedication to education and her contributions to the field were truly admirable. Above all, Edith cherished her family. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her loved ones. She was a proud mother to her sons Martin, Jeffrey and Robert. Edith also held a special place in her heart for her sisters Sonya and Lee as well as for her nephews Jack, Marilyn, and Michele. She loved her entire family and all of her friends, very, very much. When not enjoying quality time with family, Edith found solace and happiness aboard cruise ships. Anywhere on a cruise ship was her favorite place in the world. She also had a fondness for mind-challenging game shows and would often be found engrossed in her favorite TV programs. Edith's defining personality traits were her extreme friendliness and outgoing nature. She had a way of brightening up everyone's day and making them feel special. Known for her sociability, Edith made friends wherever she went. One anecdote that captures Edith's essence is that she never cooked a thing in her life. She found joy in other aspects of life and preferred to leave the culinary endeavors to others. Edith's impact on the lives of others cannot be overstated. She brought brightness, happiness, and fun to everyone she encountered. In addition to her personal achievements, Edith was actively involved in her community. She served as the President of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce and was a charter founder of the NJ Home for the Aged. Edith's commitment to social causes and her involvement in various organizations made a positive difference in the lives of many. Edith Giniger will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her legacy of love, generosity, and laughter will continue to inspire and bring joy to others. Edith's motto in life was "Family First," and she was most proud of her sons, nephews, and nieces. May she rest in peace. A memorial service will be held at Sinai Memorial Chapel on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 12 noon, at Sinai Memorial Chapel, 15120 Jog Road, Delray Beach, FL, 33446. Rabbi Frank will officiate. Contributions may be made in her loving memory to The Wounded Warrior Project.
