Aaron Louis Rosen

Aaron Louis Rosen (Gizmo), 6 days shy of 90 years old, of Delray Beach FL, formerly York, PA and Philadelphia, PA died of natural causes on January 24, 2024 at home with his loving family. He was born on January 30, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA to Max and Dora Rosen (Bodek). Aaron graduated from Overbrook High School and attended Temple University, after serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was married to Myrna Pravitz Rosen for 60 years. Aaron owned Rosen Electronics with his brother Henry Rosen in York, PA for 50 Years. Aaron came from a long-line of Rosen family artists. He was a prolific, self-taught painter, photographer, and filled many sketchbooks with his humorous, abstract drawings. Aaron was a voracious reader, he loved the beach in Ventnor, NJ, and many weekends in Annapolis, MD on his boat, The Lady Koufax. He enjoyed weekly poker games and treasured good times with “the boys” from Philly, York, and Delray. Aaron was incredibly funny, intelligent and creative on many levels. He was a master griller, loved a good cuban cigar, a White House hoagie, and was a classic movie and jazz aficionado. Aaron was incredibly loyal and loving to family and friends. In addition to Aaron’s parents, he was pre-deceased by his brother, Henry Rosen (& Chickie), niece Susan Rosen, great-nephew Joshua Rosen, and most recently his beloved cousin Lewis Rosen. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Myrna Pravitz Rosen, daughters Karen Rosen (Seth Harris) and Shelley Rosen Howard (Andrew Howard) and son Barry Rosen. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Leah, Jonathan, Maya and Daniel, as well as his nephews, cousins, dear friend Gary Friedman, and his adoring cat, Max. A private memorial service will be held in Delray Beach, FL.
